On Human Design
Even if you are not familiar with Human Design, you can learn something about yourself from the following series of reflections. You could use the information about these gates as prompts for self-reflection and get a sense of how I could help you as your coach.
Human design serves as a map of our uniqueness and offers insights into how we can show up as our authentic selves and best use our innate energy.
Human Design is an experimental system that gives us information about our wiring and how we best respond to the world and make decisions. It is based on astrology (your birth date, time, and location are used to generate your chart), the I’Ching, Kabbalah, Chakra system, and quantum physics. Human Design helps explain where we may have been conditioned by the world, where our gifts lie, and serves as a map of our uniqueness and offers insights into how we can show up as our authentic selves and best use our innate energy.
I discovered Human Design in 2021, and though I am not a trained reader, I have been fascinated by this system and have spent many hours researching and learning about my Strategy type (Projector), authority (Splenic/Intuitive), Strategy (Wait for the Invitation), Profile (investigative and experimental), Incarnation Cross (Right Angle Cross of Penetration) and activated gates. It is a complex system that continues to yield new information every time I return to it.
When I discovered that I’m a Projector and started putting together some of the basic pieces, like how my energy is designed to work, things clicked for me. Where I’ve focused a lot of my exploratory focus, though, is on the I’Ching gates - possibly because the lovely language sparks my imagination and helps me see my gifts in a new way. (Please note that we all have all - even someone who doesn’t have these gates activated in their Human Design BodyGraph can express these energies. We all have access to all of these gifts.)
What I appreciate most about my Human Design journey so far is having aspects of my personality that I’m conscious of and not as conscious of mapped out for me so that I can see my gifts and and see how the shadow side of these energies might be playing out in my life. Really, though, it’s the beauty in my design - the beauty in everyone’s design - that I love so much. And, as a Seeker, I am excited that there seems to be no end to the discoveries waiting for me. Just as my soul mission is to inspire others to discover the intrinsic beauty and magic in the mundane, Human Design has inspired me to explore my own intrinsic beauty and magic.
